I saw this picture of Obama's hand as he signed his first act as president, and wondered to what degree his Right-Brained-ness will affect his leadership.
I loved reading A Whole New Mind--Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future, and it seems Obama exudes many of the characteristics Pink classifies as valuable in the coming generation.
Chapter 3 of his book is titled High Concept, High Touch. Those two phrases certainly capture some of my impressions of 44. I've noticed that many people whom I would classify as Modern-minded struggle with Obama's conceptual language. This seems to often be connected with his inexperience, but I wonder if it's part of his cultural paradigm.
I don't expect to see any artwork from the President but will definitely be processing his actions in light of the categories Pink outlines in his book: Design, Story, Symphony, Empathy, Play, and Meaning.
If you have yet to check out the pictures from The Boston Globe's Big Picture series, take a look.
